Brison Baffles All
(en francais)

Looks like Minister Brison is pining for the days when he could claim that the Conservative Party had a hidden agenda. What else could explain his outburst this morning in response to Stephen Harper's announcement of the CPC's new Federal Accountability Act.

Proud to be Canadian has Brison's scrum and the subsequent interview on Mike Duffy live with Gerry Nichols from the NCC.

Mr. Nichols and the NCC are a little pissed, and rightfully so.

Liberal Party Media Release

I do have one question for Minister Brison. Why would you think it appropriate to issue a Liberal Party of Canada Press Release from the ministerial offices of the Department of Public Works and Government Services?

You know - the one you sent out listing your office as the contact point and your Press Secretary Renee David as the contact person. Ya that one, the one sent out on the CP and Canada newswires.

I guess that Liberal 'culture of entitlement' disease is really catchy. You better take something for that - soon.

On the other hand, don't worry, the voters of Canada will help you with your problem, first chance they get.

Edit - Looks like things are already getting interesting for Mr. Brison:

"The Tory leader and the current NCC president, Gerry Nicholls, later demanded and received the withdrawal of statements made by Public Works Minister Scott Brison, that the NCC had been charged six times with violations of the Elections Act. Those accusations prompted a threatening letter from Nicholls earlier in the day.

"(Brison) was also in error to say that there was a contravention of the Lobbyist Registration Act. We are referring this to the registrar of lobbyists for him to investigate appropriately," said Renee David, a Public Works spokeswoman. "There are still some things that need to be looked at."
