OK. The egghead economists are going to say this is the wrong way to cut taxes. They will say that consumption taxes are less disruptive and more fair. They will say that income taxe rates should be reduced -- particularly the top rates.

Screw the eggheads. I want cheaper gas.

I suspect that this will be the reaction of most Canadians. A tax reduction that you can actually see and feel right away. And for any of the "LADs" (Liberal Attack Dogs - credit to Garth Turner for this term), if you think this is the whole ball of wax on the CPC economic front - hold on to your hats!
