What is that smell?The imagery is starting to become powerful in this campaign. Harper is looking calm, cool and very Prime Ministerial. Paul Martin, on the other hand, looks harried, tired and worn out.

OTTAWA -- They say that smell is the most important of all the senses -- a powerful reminder of the past and a predictor of the future. So strong is the psychological underpinning to smell that major marketing corporations spend millions to identify the shopping scent.
Scent is also a powerful predictor of political outcomes. The sweet smell of success, the stench of defeat; both are terms closely associated with election campaigns.
