I like the Brandon Sun more and more. They're certainly not afraid to pull any punches in their editorials.

CBC staffers fear change
By: The Brandon Sun
"CBC employees earn far more money than their colleagues in the private media and in some cases have two or three people doing what one person at CTV, Global or CKX-TV does. Keep in mind also that’s your money, not the money of advertisers, that is funding their fat salaries." ...

The broadcast world is changing. Unfortunately, the change-resistant CMG, like many of the defenders of fat and irrelevant public broadcasting, refuse to accept that most Canadians aren’t interested in the schlock that fills the CBC’s airwaves most days.

While some Canadians may be upset about missing out on some CBC programming, they should congratulate Mother Corp’s management for trying to force at least a small change in the way CBC does business.
I say there's a simple way to resolve this situation.

Open up the books!

Let the Auditor-General take a look at the finances and operations of the great Mother corporation. I'm sure the results would be very interesting to all concerned.
